This is a simple reminder guide.
You do not need to read everything at once.
You cannot break your phone by sending a message.
What You Need
- A smartphone that is turned on
- WhatsApp already installed
- Someone saved in your contacts
Step 1: Open WhatsApp
- Look for the green WhatsApp icon
- Tap it once
- WhatsApp will open

Step 2: Choose Who You Want to Message
- You will see a list of names
- Tap the person you want to message
If you don’t see them:
- Tap the search icon at the top
- Start typing their name

Step 3: Tap the Message Box
- At the bottom of the screen, tap the message box
- The keyboard will appear
This is normal.

Step 4: Type Your Message
- Type your message slowly
- You can stop and think
- You can delete text if you need to
Nothing is sent yet.
Step 5: Send the Message
- Tap the green send button
- Your message will be sent
That’s it.

Common Questions
Do I have to reply straight away on WhatsApp?
No.
You can reply whenever you are ready. Messages do not disappear if you wait.
Can I send a message by accident?
A message is only sent when you tap the send button.
Typing alone does nothing.
What if I send the wrong message?
Nothing is broken.
You can send another message to explain or correct it.
Will the other person know I’m typing?
Sometimes a small “typing” message appears.
This is normal and nothing to worry about.
Good to Know
- Messages do not need to be perfect
- Short messages are fine
- You can close WhatsApp at any time
